Yanni Kakouris is an Associate Attorney at MacDonald Law, PC and Black Lion Services, PLLC, specializing in sports, civil, and business law. A 2024 graduate of UNH Law School and a licensed member of the New Hampshire Bar, Yanni has developed a litigation practice spanning sports law, civil matters, condominium law, and liquor commission proceedings. He has argued cases at the district and superior court levels, and has appeared before the New Hampshire Liquor Commission in multiple proceedings, including a license revocation hearing conducted under the new liquor guidelines. Yanni brings a broad knowledge base across multiple areas of law, and continues to grow his practice across a wide range of civil cases.
Yanni earned his undergraduate degree from UNH, where he self-designed his own major in International Business Law and minored in Spanish. A first-generation college graduate, Yanni's father immigrated to the United States from Greece at the age of eight. His father is a successful restaurant owner in New Hampshire, and his mother is also a business owner with a dance studio in Massachusetts. Growing up as the oldest of four brothers, and with two parents who are both business owners, Yanni was instilled with a strong work ethic from a young age.
A passionate sports fan, Yanni especially loves Boston's sports teams, particularly the Celtics. He is also a former high school basketball coach, an experience that taught him valuable leadership and strategic skills.
